Climate Change Awareness Campaign
The EU’s Climate Change Awareness Campaign was launched across Europe on World Environment Day, 5th of June 2006, and it continued until February 2007.

The campaign was highly visible across Finland, where it will be highlighted in a number of local projects and events. The Finland's campaign was co-ordinated through Finland’s existing Climate Change Communications Programme, which provided useful information and other support to help partners to organise local events and campaigns.
Local events was particularly held during September and October 2006 in about twenty different localities in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Europe Information and various local partners, including local authorities, companies, non-governmental organisations, schools and the media.
